Traditional lightbar doesn’t draw much current and produces much focused light as the present day LED. Incandescent light produces heat on illumination, glows brightly and comes in various sizes. These may be available as simple night lamps to huge street lights, or theater lights. Incandescent bulbs can last for many hours, but they are relatively quite expensive.
Fluorescent lights on the other hand are a little more costly than incandescent lightbar. These bulbs produce a flickering effect on illumination. Fluorescent lights contains meager amount of mercury chemical in their formula. Halogen lightbar costs just a few dollars, while high-end LED is very expensive, and may not be suitable for every pocket.
CFL or Compact fluorescent lights are an improved version of traditional fluorescent light bar. This also uses Mercury, has a long life span, consumes comparatively less energy, and are economical than to other standard light bars. It is also said that it cuts electricity costs considerably much less and saves up to 80% of energy. Due to low energy consumption, it is the most preferred choice by many. CFL comes in varies sizes and shapes, tornadoes and spiral shaped are two simple examples.
Another source of light is High Density Light (or HID), which glows with a very bright intensity, but takes few seconds to ignite, unlike LED Grow Lights, which are also very durable. HID are commonly used by marine professionals, while LED lightbar is a multi-purpose light source used for commercial and non-commercial purposes.
But as far as LED light bulb is concerned, these stay even more than CFL though they are very expensive as compared to other lightbar gadgets. They are very user-friendly and can be used by traffic cops for signaling the traffic during random checking, patrolling, or during extreme weather conditions. LED reduces hot gas emissions when harnesses from power plants to be used for greenhouse effect, hence lowering electricity bills.

An incandescent lightbar creates lighting effect in a vacuum; a CFL shows this in a tube, the LED on the other hand produces light with the help of a semiconductor. LED is environment friendly as it produces very less carbon content and is affordable too. LED generates a much focused light and there are no lag times while attaining complete brightness as compared to sub-standard light bars. LED grow lightbar used in greenhouses, produces very little heat, which means an optimum room temperature and light intensity necessary for growing plants.
